Texas Film Festivals
The Hippodrome is proud to host local film festivals each year. In 2017, we hosted the 1st Annual Deep in the Heart Film Festival, where Waco was certified as a Film Friendly City by the Texas Film Commission. The Hippodrome was the only theater in town to
show 70 captivating short video and film projects and six riveting feature-length independent films. This was a fantastic opportunity for film buffs to connect with filmmakers, producers, and other film production professionals from all over the world.
